Connor was absolutely brilliant in explaining everything a novice boat operator needed, could the boat be of a higher standard, yes, was it liveable for the week, yes? Do not underestimate the service you get from this company. A few adjustments to the interior of the boat would rate a five star review.
Not your polished usual bull.... you get from some marinas, rather personal, detailed attention from real caring folk who know exactly what their doing with their boats. No, the boats may not be the latest tech etc rest assured they are reliable and wont let you down.Old school service with an old school approach, such a pleasure to deal with instead of all the flanel you get off the big guns
Boats are very old and did get us around fine, but they are not very clean and in need of a refurb throughout. If you’re a glamper then best to avoid.
Had a few gd weeks every year and yes they're old skool, nothing wrong all week would happily rent/hire again
Im going to have to be bah humbug with this review im afraid as ive only seen good reviews for this yard.Upon arrival we loaded our gear onto the boat at first glance it was tatty smelt musty sofa in living area was thread bare and covered in dog hair also noticed latch to toilet in rear cabin was hanging off rear door handle faulty only way to shut door was by locking it.We were given a tour even though id explained that id been on boats many times on broads. Our guide explained daily routines and about how to light cooker and that the fridge was gas fired and not to touch the controls.Anyway we set off and moored up for the night in the morning noticed fridge wasnt very cold so rang the boatyard and they said to bring it back to the boatyard, this meant travelling the opposite direction we were heading,They re lit the fridge and off we went heading about 2 hrs down towards norwich we moored up and i fished for a bit then we prepared dinner again fridge didnt feel cold checked and pilot light was out again id already explained we had raw meat and fish onboard so rang boatyard and they said they wanted me to move boat to somewhere where there was road access i said no so they said we would have to wait until someone came by boat.A guy turned up about an hr later and just re lit it.Next day checked in morning fridge was fine cruised for about 3 hrs to a mooring checked fridge was fine.We went to a pub for a drink then i fished for a while upon preparing dinner again fridge wasnt cold checked and pilot was out again rang boat yard and the owner of yard came out about an hr later and took the fridge apart and said gas jets were blocked!!So why didnt they do that in the first place? Also roasting tins in oven and chopping board were filthy dirty so had to wash them before use, im sorry but ill never use this place again
